Over the past few years, several state have passed new laws that require anyone using a cell phone while driving must use a phone headset. There are three types of cell phone headset kits for cars - permanent car kits, portable car kits and headsets. Many feel the headset is the most practical solution for driving, because headphones work well in the office and at home as well.

Whether driving or not, cellular phone headsets are an absolute necessity. There are different types of cell phone headsets available including retractable headsets that are flexible and can be adjusted during conversations. The ear buds headset has a microphone that sits on the earpiece or wire, and a headset with a boom microphone.

A popular brand on the market is Motorola. If offers two Bluetooth headsets - the HS810 and HS820. They are Bluetooth enabled and can communicate with Bluetooth 1.1 compliant devices including computers. They weight about 20 grams and the talk range is somewhere around 6 hours. The HS810 talk range is 5 hours. They have standby time for 100 hours, and the HS820 can communicate with your phone 33 feet away. The HS820 also has conference call and voice dialing features. It sells for $79 and the HS810 sells for $99.

Jabra is another top seller providing hands-free communication. Its new headset “JabraFreeSpeak FS258″ weighs only 23 grams and is the lightest behind-the-ear device produced by the company. T-Mobile has the Samsung T609 that has Bluetooth that allows both wireless headset connection and contact synchronization. It sells for around $150 after rebate.

Bluetooth Cell Phone Headset : A Comfortable Fit

For as little as twenty dollars, you too can purchase a Bluetooth phone headset which will allow you to talk on your cell phone (provided it is Bluetooth compatible) without using your hands.

Bluetooth phone headsets fit comfortably over your ear with a microphone slightly protruding down the side of your face towards your mouth. Bluetooth technology is designed to use as little power as possible, unlike some other technologies which emphasize performance over power savings, but mobile technologies should always emphasize the opposite.

Gadgets like hands-free kits and speakers add additional functionality at little cost, and they can complement Bluetooth phone headsets admirably.

Beyond the simple gadgets though, Bluetooth phone headsets simply make sense for most consumers today. All you need is a Bluetooth phone, and you’re good to go. If you’re tired of neck cramps and sore arms, then a Bluetooth phone headset is right for you.
